Harry Kane says that he is flattered by the interest shown by Manchester United

Tottenham star Harry Kane says that he is flattered by the interest shown by Manchester United, but he has also reiterated his desire to stay at White Hart Lane.

Kane came through the ranks at the London outfit, but he has been linked with a move to a real top club like many at White Hart Lane. In the past, United have signed Spurs players like Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov.Kane could be next on the list with United reportedly ready to offer around £ 40 million for the striker. After finishing last season as the PFA Young Player of the Year, Kane is a striker in demand.

The forward, though, remains keen on improving his critics that last season was not a one-off. He ended the campaign with 30 goals in all competitions, which is mightily impressive considering that he was not a Premier league starter during the first few months of the season. Tottenham failed to achieve their objectives after finishing outside the top four, but they can look forward to the Europa League once again next season. The prospect of joining United will sound appealing to any player, as it will come with the chance to win several trophies.

United were also interested in Gareth Bale but conceded the player to Real Madrid. “Of course I have been watching Sky Sports and have seen the interest. But I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs. I have seen there is interest but that’s all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested. Tottenham are a big club and that’s how people have got to see it. I’m at a big club now and enjoying my football looking forward to next season at White Hart Lane,” said Kane.

Arsenal will be welcoming Chelsea to the Emirates stadium

Arsenal will be welcoming Chelsea to the Emirates stadium this weekend after having finally broken the stranglehold over the top teams.

After years of suffering in the big matches, Arsenal have had victories over Manchester United and Manchester City this season. Up until now, Arsenal have had only one way of playing even in the big matches. This has seen them suffered numerous times on counter-attacks from the opposition. Keen to avoid this, Arsene Wenger has been using different tactics with regard to the big matches. This saw them play in a defensive style and manage victories against City.

Chelsea will be posing a different kind of threat to the gunners, but defender Kieran Gibbs says that the players have learnt enough from this season to play in an ugly style of football. Arsenal need a victory at all costs in order to keep up their title hopes. They trail Chelsea by a mammoth 10 points with only five games remaining after this match. Arsene Wenger goes into the match after having not won against Jose Mourinho in his managerial career. The run stretches to 12 games, butGibbs says that there is every chance of this run coming to an end since Arsenal have a new way of playing.

“You start to see a team which is picking up momentum even when we’re not playing at our best. The form we’re in has been the best for a long time so if there was ever a time it would be now. I think that’s something that’s definitely changed in the team. If we do that this weekend then it does start to put a different label above our heads of who we are.I feel the team has just started to realise that the game can be won at any stage with the players we’ve got so we can ride out storms if you like at certain points in the game better,” said Gibbs.

Ipswich Town has only been able to claim 6 victories

Since the start of 2015, Ipswich Town has only been able to claim 6 victories in the English League Championship and this is a very low amount of triumph taking into consideration that they have played 15 matches with their latest game ending in a 1-0 victory for Ipswich Town after defeating Watford.

The club which is being guided by Mick McCarthy has experienced a dip in form that has seen Ipswich Town go from the 2nd spot of the English League Championship to the 6th position.

Before deciding to retire and hang up his boots, Kieron Dyer spent over 3 years performing with the jersey of Ipswich Town and he has even turned into the coach of the Under-16 squad.

Kieron Dyer believes that the fans of Ipswich Town are being too negative about the recent dip in form that the club has been going through and this negativity does not benefit anyone, the former midfielder has urged the supporters of the team to change their state of mind and everyone needs to continue sticking behind the club even with their recent string of underwhelming results.

The former midfielder of Ipswich Town, Kieron Dyer said: “For a while everything just seemed so negative; the fans, the media, everyone’’

“I was driving home from London last Tuesday night and listening to the radio after the 1-0 win against Bolton. You’d have thought we were bottom of the league hearing some of the comments. It’s the same when I pick up the paper and see these survey pages.“There’s still a fantastic opportunity and I think everyone needs to be behind the team.”

The next match of Ipswich Town will be a tough one as they face off with the table toppers Bournemouth and with only 7 matches remaining until the end of the season; every point makes a difference especially in this stage of the season.

Ipswich Town expects to have High Quality Players, says Kieron Dyer

Former Newcastle United midfielder Kieron Dyer says that he is already seeing promising signs that Ipswich Town will be able to produce a number of high quality players in the next few years.

The Championship outfit have been attempting to return to the Premier League for a few seasons. Those attempts have not ended in success.

This time around, things have been different aspect club have been able to maintain their position near the top of the table even as the season approaches Christmas. Ipswich have lost only three matches so far this campaign and they are only four points behind table leaders Derby County.

Dyer says that it has also been good news in terms of the youth academy at the club. The former England international has taken up a coaching career after his earlier retirement due to injuries. He is currently in charge of the youth teams at Ipswich Town. It is widely expected that he will make the grade as a manager once he completes his coaching badges. Dyer was once regarded as a player capable of making it big especially at international level. A player with a lot of talent, he says that the Ipswich youth academy has a number of promising players who could make the grade in the next five years.

“I can see a golden era of young players coming through at Ipswich in the next few years.I see these young boys almost every day, especially the under-14s, 15s, 16s. I thought I had ability at their age, but I’m telling you there are kids there with more talent than I ever had when I was as old as them. Many of them have huge potential. In the next four or five years I can honestly see a conveyor-belt of talent coming out of the Ipswich academy. There are so many good players there,” said the 35-year-old.

Lee Bowyer oopens on his incident with Kieron Dyer

Former Newcastle United midfielder Lee Bowyer has opened up on the infamous incident between him and Kieron Dyer on the pitch of a 3-0 defeat against Aston Villa in 2005.

Despite being teammates, they traded blows against each other. This resulted in the referee sending both of them with a straight red card and reducing Newcastle to just eight players. This is one of the astonishing incidents in the Premier League history. Not much has been said about it until now. Bowyer says that it was one of those incidents when frustration due to a thrashing boiled over.

He says that he still remains friends with Kieron Dyer, who he has called as one of the nicest blokes in football. Both players later issued an apology after being forced by then manager Graeme Souness. Bowyer says that such an incident would have never happened had Newcastle been winning by the same score on that fateful day. Newcastle had already been reduced to a man down after Steven Taylor was sent off. The incident between Bowyer and Dyer occurred eight minutes from the final whistle. Hence, it prevented any more misery for Newcastle.

After several years of being plagued by injury problems, Kieron Dyer recently retired from football. He has begun a coaching career at Ipswich Town. Bowyer last played for Ipswich Town before retiring in 2012.”It was a moment of madness. Everybody regretted it afterwards. But we are winners. When you play football, you have to be that way. You have to want to win. Sometimes it goes too far – that’s what happened that day.I’m sure if we’d been winning 3-0, it would never have happened. Kieron’s a nice lad and I still see him. I saw him at Sir Bobby’s [Robson’s] golf day and we had a beer and a laugh,” said Bowyer.

Ipswich Town On Verge Of Losing Big PLayers

Ipswich Town looked like being on the verge of losing two of their important players – Tyrone Mings and David McGoldrick. The duo were subjected to offers from Crystal Palace and Leicester City respectively. After their promotion to the Premier League, the duo have been taking a number of good players from the Championship. Mings and McGoldrick have been key players for Ipswich has demonstrated by manager Mick McCarthy on several occasions. After making a poor start to the campaign, it is looking almost certain that Ipswich Town may not challenge for promotion spot.

Players want to play in the Premier League and McCarthy feared for the worst when the Premier league duo came in for his key players. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager revealed that Crystal Palace made a substantial offer for defender Mings despite McCarthy clearly stating to Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock that he did not want to sell Mings. The manager is just happy that the club decided not to sell him despite receiving a very healthy offer. McCarthy also revealed that club owner Marcus Evans turned down a good offer for striker McGoldrick.

“I thought Didz might be on his way to Leicester. I said that on Saturday but [owner Marcus Evans] didn’t ever want it to happen. He turned down a substantial amount of money and the deal fell through.
Obviously I’m delighted that Didz is staying. I’ve got a player that I thought I might be without so it’s a good signing for us in the window. I spoke to Neil Warnock. He asked about Tyrone and I told him what a good player he is and that I didn’t want to lose him. That didn’t deter their interest,” said McCarthy.
Ipswich have only one win in the Championship this campaign after five matches.

Zhirkov Makes Impact For Russia

Yuri Zhirkov made an impact for his national side Russia in the last practice game before the FIFA World Cup 2014 against Morocco.

The veteran left winger found the back of the net in the initial parts of the second half and helped Russia secure a 2-0 win.

This win would certainly give the Russians a lot of self belief ahead of their campaign in Brazil.
The Russian side had gone into this match without a couple of regular players, but, that didn’t appear to affect their performance. They always remained on the top of the opposition.

Russia went ahead by 1-0 in the 29th minute which sent Morocco on the back foot. They went into their shell after that and rather than trying to find the equalizer, they were looking to ensure that they didn’t concede another goal.

That move didn’t work for them as just 12 minutes after the half time break; Zhirkov doubled the hosts’ lead.

Russia has been slotted in Group H in the World Cup. The other three teams in that group are Belgium, Korea Republic and Algeria.

Belgium is a very strong side and is likely to make it to the Round of 16, but, Russia can surely give Korea and Algeria a tough fight for the no. 2 spot in the group if they perform as well they did against Morocco yesterday.

However, it’s also a fact that the pressure in a World Cup game is much different from that in a practice game. And, Russia would not get the home support there in Brazil either. But, they surely have talent to pull off a couple of good results.

Russia’s first match in the tournament will be against Korea Republic at Estadio Pantanal, Cuiaba.

Coleman Signs With Everton

The Ireland International, Seamus Coleman, has signed a new deal with his current club Everton according to which he would remain a Toffee for the next 5 years.

Coleman had a great 2013-14 Season at Goodison Park. Roberto Martinez, the Everton boss, gave him the playing opportunities right since the start and he didn’t let his boss down. He put up quality performances in most of the games and showed his development as a player.

Coleman’s good form at the club level in the last season had some effects on his international career too as he got the opportunity to lead his country against Germany in a friendly fixture.
Speaking to the press after signing the contract extension, Coleman said, “I didn’t have to think much before signing the new deal. I have enjoyed myself a lot at this club in the last few seasons. I am in love with the club to be honest. I have got quite familiar with the guys over here now. So, this was one of the easiest decisions for me.”

“Roberto is a very good manager. He has come in and done well. He is taking the team towards the right direction and we all are trying to give him our 100% support.”

Roberto Martinez’s contract has also been extended by the Everton board for the next 5 years recently. He had been appointed last season after David Moyes’ departure to Manchester United and he guided the team to a top 5 finish.

A few more wins could have seen Everton qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, but, it wasn’t to be. However, their fans would be really satisfied with their overall performance in the season. They secured 79 points in 38 games with 21 wins.

Allardyce Future Decided Next Week

The future of Sam Allardyce will be decided in a week as the board members of the club will have a meeting concerning some of the issues of West Ham. The meeting is going to take place at the house of the co-owner David Sullivan.

After a difficult start of a season, West Ham managed to escape the bottom relegation zone but fans still have not taken a liking to the playing style and tactics that Allardyce utilizes and this is evident by the banners and shouts which can be seen and heard during their home matches.

A survey of 12,392 Hammers fans taken last month saw 77.95 percent vote in favor of Allardyce leaving the East London club this summer. He was booed by home fans after the final whistle of March’s clash against Hull despite winning the match 2-1.

All of this is evidence of the relationship that Allardyce has made towards the fans of the club.
While the future of Sam Allardyce remains undecided, Joe Cole has already left the club and is in search for a new club which he could join.

Joe Cole told talkSPORT: “I’m a free agent now and I’m looking for a new club. My relationship with West Ham is great, but obviously it didn’t work towards the end of this season. I didn’t play enough. So I’m just going to take my time over the summer and find the right fit. At this stage of my career finances are not important for me, I want to enjoy my football, I want to compete and I just want to play more.”

A number of other players in the club are expected to leave as well some new arrivals can improve the squad for the next season but before West Ham can actually start making their move in the summer transfer window, things will have to be settled on whether or not Sam Allardyce remains in charge of the squad or not.

PARDEW BACKED

Newcastle United has not secured a major trophy since 1969 and has not managed on winning the league silverware in over 80 years but even though their dry run has been going on for such a long period of time, it still remains being one of the clubs which has the highest average attendance in the country.

Alan Pardew is going through a tough streak of negative and disappointing results as Newcastle United lost against Everton, Southampton, Manchester United, Stoke City, Swansea City and Arsenal all in successive weeks.

The consecutive number of defeats has not gone well with the fans of Newcastle United and there even are rumors of Alan Pardew getting sacked if he is unable to conclude the season on a high note.

But Pardew does not want the negativity off the field to affect his ninth-placed team on the pitch. “I know the fans are unhappy and disappointed, particularly with myself,” Pardew said.

Mike Ashley is the owner of Newcastle United and he is the man that will take the final decision on who will be coaching the club for the next season. If Alan Pardew wants to retain his current position in the English side, he will have to impress the English Billionaire.

If Alan Pardew is unable to awe Mike Ashley and he does get sacked, there already are a few names which are being linked as potential managers who could be appointed as the new coach of Newcastle United.

David Moyes and Steve Bruce are 2 of the names which have been linked with Newcastle United. Bruce has displayed his coaching skills by promoting Hull City to the Premier League during his first season with the club and the upcoming campaign Bruce managed on pushing Hull City to the finals of the FA Cup for the first time.
